Taiwan extends visa-free visits for Thai passport holders for another year

Thai Trade and Economic Office Taipei has recently decided to extend visa-free visits to Taiwan by holders of Thai passports for another year as of August 1, 2017 until August 31, 2018.

According to the website of the East Asian Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the one-year extension of the visa-free visits to Thai visitors holding Thai passports was intended to promote tourism, trade, economic and cultural relations between Taiwan and Thailand.

The visa-free privilege allows Thai passport holders to stay in Taiwan for up to 30 days. This will expire on July 31 this year.

Since the granting of visa-free visits, Thai visitors to Taiwan have increased by 57.26 percent.
