BANGKOK, Thailand — More than 1.3 million people visited Thailand\’s royal crematorium at Sanam Luang in the past 18 days, Thai News Agency (TNA) reported.
Thai Deputy Prime Minister Thanasak Patimaprakorn said more than 1.3 million people visited the royal pyre in total since the royal crematorium was opened to the public on Nov 2.
The highest number was recorded in the past three days with more than 100,000 visitors daily on average.
More and more people come to view the magnificently decorated pyre, other structures and the exhibition about the late King Bhumibol as it is scheduled to close at the end of this month if the period for public viewing is not extended.
