About 10 British parliamentary leaders will visit Iloilo City on September 21-23. Iloilo City tourism officer Junel Ann Divinagracia said the office of the Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III sought the help of the city government in hosting the members of the British parliament.
They will look into our best practices especially the grassroots programs of the city like Gawad Kalinga, Divinagracia said.
The leaders are also expected to look into the projects of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).
Also, Divinagracia said that other cities like Davao and Bacolod are considered to host the British leaders but Pimentel recommended the city of Iloilo.
Senator Pimentel recommended the city because he has seen our best practices and the progress of Iloilo, she said,
We also expect that the leaders will provide us help. That is one of the reasons why they will go here, she added.
