EGAT sponsors “Sustainable Energy & Technology ASIA 2017” (SETA 2017), an international conference and exhibition which is hosted by the Ministry of Energy with the aim to share knowledge on energy and discuss the future energy goal.
On January 25, 2017 Mr. Tatree Riewcharoen, Assistant Governor-Corporate Social Responsibility together with Mr. Tammayot Srichuai, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Energy, Assoc. Prof. Soranit Siltharm, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Science and Technology, Mr. Somsak Hommoung, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tadchai Sumit, Chairman of the Executive Board in “Sustainable Energy & Technology ASIA 2017” joined the press conference of SETA 2017 at Conference Room 9, 15th floor, Energy Complex B Building, the Ministry of Energy.
Mr. Tatree Riewcharoen said that EGAT is extremely pleased to be a sponsor of the event for two consecutive years because it is an important forum organized for International organizations, government and industry sectors to consult and collaborate on the sustainable energy policies for the development of the region in the future. It is also a floor for Thailand’s energy and transportation industries to discuss on sustainable energy policies, the future goals in 2020, and the development of Power Grid.
The Assistant Governor – Corporate Social Responsibility also said that there will be many speakers from EGAT to attend the conference program, and EGAT’s exhibition will be held under the theme “Balance Energy and Go Together” to present EGAT’s operation in compliance with the policy of Energy 4.0. It will enhance a better understanding in energy, the use of renewable energy and base – load power under the policy of energy mix balance. EGAT also focuses on developing electricity generation innovations to enhance energy security with the consideration on social and environmental responsibility.
SETA 2017 will be held on March 8 – 10, 2017 at BITEC, Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Center. The opening ceremony will be honorably chaired by the Air Chief Marshal Prajin Juntong, Deputy Prime Minister.
