His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn has closely followed up the rescue operations to assist 12 school footballers and a coach trapped in a Chiang Rai cave and has expressed concern over the safety of the 13, said Interior Minister Anupong Paochinda on Monday quoting the principal private secretary to the King.
He said the King gave moral support to all the people engaged in the search and rescue of the 13 and wished all the missing safe and sound.
In his capacity as the commander of the national public disaster prevention and mitigation, General Anupong will tomorrow morning fly to Chiang Rai and then proceed to Tham Luang-Khun Nang Nam Non cave to supervise the rescue operations now undertaken by Navy Seal’s underwater units.
Until now, there are still no words of the sighting of the 13 missing although their foot and hand prints have been found on dry ground deep inside the cave.
