Deputy Secretary-General of the Bureau of Royal Household Mr Kwankaew Watcharothai died of sudden heart attack Saturday morning at 4.48 am at Siriraj Hospital. He was 89.
Professor Dr Prasit Wattananapha, dean of the Faculty of Medicines of Siriraj hospital, said today that Mr Kwankaew had been treated for coronary artery disease in the intensive care unit of Siriraj hospital for some time before he succumbed to his death of sudden heart attack at 4.48 am this morning.
A royal bathing ceremony to be presided over by His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s representative Mr Palakorn Suwannarat will be held tomorrow at Wat Benjamabophit temple at 5.30 pm.
Mr Kwankaew was survived by two sons, Mr Thanit and Dr Disathorn, both serving at the Bureau of the Royal Household.
Earlier, on September 15 last year, his twin brother, Mr Kaewkwan, then secretary-general of the Bureau of Royal Household, died of sudden heart attack at Siriraj hospital after being treated at the hospital for heart problem.
