On February 22, 2021, at 09.00 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong presided over the opening ceremony of the training course on “Supervisory and Management Level Safety Officers” in a project and gift from the Ministry of Labour called “love from the heart for Thai workers to be happy and complete.” The initiative is under the campaign concept of “free skills training to beat accidents and care for the workforce” to provide personnel in the workplace, including employees and employers, to realize the importance of safety in work and apply the knowledge to develop workplace safety to reduce injury and diseases occurring from the workplace. The visiting committee also observed an exhibition on safety, whereby Pathum Thani Provincial Governor Mr. Chaiwat Chuenkosum and Deputy Director-General of the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare Mr. Wannarat Srisuksai gave a report at the Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University.
The Assistant to the Labour Minister said, “I appreciate and thank Perfect Safety Training and Consulting, a training company registered with the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, for working with the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare to provide gifts for the 2021 new year under the concept of “free skills training to beat accidents and care for the workforce.” The initiative has organized the “Supervisory and Management Level Safety Officers” course, free of charge. This is a new year gift that is useful to the workforce and related persons, in line with the Ministry of Labour’s concept that aims to develop people to have a better understanding of their operations among workers who are a vital force in promoting competitiveness and to develop the national economy to provide a better quality of life. The effort also aims to relieve the burden and reduce costs to companies and businesses, especially during the Covid-19 situation.”
This session of the “Supervisory and Management Level Safety Officers” course had 120 participants, including those who attended two courses: the supervisor-level occupational safety course and the management occupational safety officer course.
