On March 15, 2021, Deputy Labour Minister Prof. Narumon Pinyosinwat revealed that the Thailand Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (TOSH) continuously develops and transfers new knowledge to public and private agencies application to the management and service of the people. It supports the management system to reduce losses arising from the hazards occurring at work in terms of accidents and occupational diseases and reduces the social impact arising from the loss of life and property. The efforts focus on providing academic services on safety advisors and human resource development and promoting a culture of safety for both public and private agencies.
The Deputy Labour Minister added that TOSH had organized an innovation development project on occupational health and safety to promote the exchange of knowledge about innovation and inventions in workplace safety and occupational health to prevent injury or illness from the employee’s work. It also encourages individuals or groups of innovators, promoting innovative projects on occupational safety and health. Companies, workplace safety officers, and educational institutions that are interested can submit a project design for development or improvement in innovation work related to occupational safety, health, and work environment that aims to reduce the risk and injury from work.
Those who have been awarded will receive a plaque and certificate of honour, with prize money as follows: The winner’s award receives 30,000 Baht prize money. The 1st runner-up receives 15,000 Baht prize money, and the 2nd runner-up receives 5,000 Baht prize money.
