The framework for national reconciliation should start with the signing of a memorandum of understanding by all political parties without the issues about amnesty or pardon for political offenders, said Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan on Monday.
General Prawit who was assigned to oversee the reconciliation committee disclosed that preparations for the creation of the reconciliation committee were already completed and all political parties should have a role in the panel.
Even with reconciliation committee in place, he said that there was no need for the ban against political activities to be revoked as this is a different issue from reconciliation.
The deputy prime minister insisted that the military, himself included, was not in conflict with any political parties.
