On January 12, 2019, at 08.30 hours, Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha chaired the opening ceremony for the National Children’s Day 2019 event at the Ministry of Education. The event was under the concept of gathering Thai children, volunteer spirits and organizing events for Thai children to know to think, have a volunteer spirit, refrain from drugs, have good life skills and use technology to create intelligence. The slogan for the National Children’s Day 2019 was children, youths and volunteers together for national development.
For this event, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark assigned Assistant Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mrs. Theerat Nawamawat as a representative for the opening ceremony of the National Children’s Day 2019 for all agencies under the Ministry of Labour. This included the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour, the Department of Employment, the Department of Skill Development, the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, the Social Security Office and the Thailand Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (Public Organization). The agencies worked together to organize activities such as quizzes, an egg scoop game, a hoop throwing games, spin the wheel and catching ping pong balls for prizes to give gifts to children that parents brought to join the event; activities with giveaway prizes received a lot of attention.
