MOL and Change Leaders Association Joins Thai Health Promotion Foundation to Develop Workers’ Lives in the EEC

Together with the Thai Health Promotion Foundation and the Change Leaders Association for Labour Development, the Ministry of Labour organized a project to create a model health organization. The project aims to improve the quality of life among the workforce towards sustainability and drive a strategy to improve the quality of life of workers in the EEC area.

On March 2, 2021, at 09.00 hours, Mr. Arthit Ismo, chairman of the model health organization project to improve the quality of the workforce’s life towards sustainability, presided over the meeting to clarify the integration of activities promoting the quality of working life. The occasion took place at the Novotel Sriracha and Koh Sichang Marina Bay Hotel, Sriracha, Chonburi. The Ministry of Labour’s Chief Inspector-General Mr. Puma Thamakul, Director of the Bureau of Inspection and Evaluation Mr. Kritpat Krutkul, and the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-Generals from every department under the Ministry of Labour also joined the occasion. Mr. Arthit said that the Ministry of Labour, under the leadership of Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, gives importance to integrating activities to improve workers’ quality of life in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). The Labour Minister assigned Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong to follow up on driving the Labour Minister’s policy to improve the workforce’s quality of life in the EEC area. Therefore today, the Ministry of Labour, together with the Thai Health Promotion Foundation and the Change Leaders Association for Labour Development, organized a project to create a model health organization to improve the quality of the workforce’s life, called the “Healthy and Safety to be Decent Work” project. The effort aims to jointly drive the strategy for developing the quality of working life to enable participants from all departments within the Ministry of Labour to participate in learning activities and exchange knowledge to improve the quality of working life and integrate into related activities.

Mr. Arthit continued that for the said project, a meeting was scheduled for a clarification among activity coordinators to improve the life of the Ministry of Labour’s personnel between March 1-2. Participants of the meeting consist of the Ministry of Labour’s happiness creators and representatives of provincial groups such as Chachoengsao, Chonburi, and Rayong to exchange knowledge and promote activities to improve the quality of life of workers in the EEC area.
