MOL Spokesperson Visits Songkhla to Follow Up on Labour Missions to Drive Provincial Development

Mr. Wannarat Srisuksai, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, as the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson, Mr. Wannarat Srisuksai, joined the Board of Directors meeting on the direction of the organizational health promotion plan no. 5/2022 via Zoom, at the Songkhla Provincial Labour Office meeting room. The meeting acknowledged a report on the progress of the 4G organization project for happiness, understanding, preparation, and bridging the gap. It also acknowledged a report on the project’s progress to develop partners to drive health organizations in the Federation of Thai Industries and approved the draft organization health promotion plan (5-year master plan for 2023 – 2027 and the operational plan for 2023).

Mr. Wannarat also chaired a meeting with government officials and officials of the Songkhla Provincial Labour Office at the Songkhla Provincial Labour Office meeting room. Songkhla Provincial Labour Officer Mrs. Suchinda Boon-Ae gave a welcome speech and briefing on the overview of the labour situation in Songkhla Province.

On this occasion, Mr. Wannarat emphasized the guidelines for the Ministry of Labour’s public relations efforts to create awareness for people in the area of the government’s work on labour, under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha and the Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who oversees the Ministry of Labour. He also spoke about the labour policy driven by the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, and Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, for giving importance to promoting jobs for people in every area, including informal workers, handicapped workers, elderly workers, and fragile groups. The policies support the development of skills and occupation to have work, income, protection, and security in life, together with “Standards of Operation” or SOP to drive the prevention of human trafficking to be eliminated from Thailand, following the government policy. He also spoke about the support and integration with provinces, especially projects that the Ministry of Labour has allocated budgets to jointly drive the province’s development in various dimensions.
