PM suggests vendors in Samut Prakarn’s Phra Padaeng to adopt technology to increase sales
December 24, 2018, at 0810hrs, Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha and members of the cabinet took a field trip to Phra Padaeng District City Hall, Samut Prakarn province. His delegation included Deputy Prime Minister Gen. Chatchai Sarikulya, Interior Minister Gen. Anupong Paojinda, Tourism and Sports Minister Weerasak Kowsurat, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Kritsada Bunrat, Minister of Social Development and Human Security Gen. Anantaporn Kanjanarat, and Deputy Secretary-General to the Prime Minister for Political Affairs, Puttipong Punnakanta, in his capacity as Government Spokesperson.
The Prime Minister’s field visit is aimed to follow up on Samut Prakarn’s implementations under the Government’s policies, that is, 1) flood prevention and mitigation, 2) eco-tourism and promotion of bike route in Bang Krachao, 3) Klong Lat Pho floodgate project, 4) garbage management through waste-to-energy project, 5) erosion management and prevention at Phra Samut Chedi district, and 6) OTOP and community products.
Upon arrival, the Prime Minister paid homage to the statue of King Rama II, visited Phra Padaeng fresh market, and greeted the market vendors. He took the occasion to advise the vendors to adopt technologies to increase sales of agricultural products, especially through online sales, which would also facilitate customers. He also called on them to join hands in maintaining the market’s cleanliness and order, and ensure freshness of meat and seafood. The Prime Minister was greeted by a large crowd who wished him good health, and told him to never desert the people.
