The Labour Minister presented benefits from the Compensation, Social Security and Pension Fund, totaling 1.4 million Baht to families of the worker who died from the explosion of a fire extinguisher tank near Suvarnabhumi Airport Link Station. On February 14, 2019, Labour Minister, H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo presented benefits from the Compensation Fund amounting to 1,377,000 Baht and benefits from the Social Security Fund together with the Pension Fund of 58,971.14 Baht, totaling 1,435,971.14 Baht. The benefits were given to the family of Mr. Yuttasark Kumboonyor at the Labour Minister’s reception room, 6th floor, Ministry of Labour. Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark and the ministry’s executives were also present at the occasion.
Mr. Yuttasark died from an explosion of a fire extinguisher tank near the Suvarnabhumi Airport Link Station, Samut Prakarn while working on November 7, 2018. The explosion resulted in the injury of 4 workers and the death of 1. The accident happened while the workers were at work.
Pol.Gen. Adul said that the injured workers would receive the right to receive medical treatment in the amount as actually paid, not exceeding 50,000 Baht. He said that the Ministry of Labour’s Social Security Office had the Compensation Fund and was ready to care for employees in the system to be fully entitled to compensation and medical expenses, for a better quality of life in the future.
