Bangkok: The Thai food documentary "Tasteful Thailand" has been recognized with the Best Documentary award in the United States, showcasing the influence of Thai cuisine and culture on a global scale. The government expressed its satisfaction with this achievement, highlighting the documentary's role in promoting Thailand's culinary heritage.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Ploytalay Laksmisangchan, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, praised the collaboration between the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Tencent, a Chinese technology and holding company. This partnership aimed to present Thai cuisine in a manner that reflects the identity, culture, and charm of the Thai people, transcending mere culinary appeal.

Ms. Ploytalay emphasized the pride this brings to Thailand and its people, as the documentary "Tasteful Thailand" successfully represents the country's soft power through the allure of its food, culture, and lifestyle to an international audience. Released on the WeTV platform, the documentary won the "Telly Awards" for Best Documentary, a prestigious international television and video award established in 1979, with over 13,000 entries submitted from six continents annually.
