A woman tourist was injured after she was attacked by several monkeys at Khao Sam Mook in Chonburi province yesterday (November 22).
The unidentified tourist was rushed to a nearest hospital for treatment of wounds from monkey bites by the Trikunatham charity foundation rescuers.
According to a janitor cleaning the Chinese shrine at the Khao Sam Mook viewpoint, the tourist looked as if she was drunk.
She walked up to the monkeys and acted as if she was trying to bother them.
She tried to grab a baby from the monkeys and was attacked, he said.
Fortunately several people saw her and helped to save her from the angry monkeys, he said.
The janitor also advised tourists not to feed the monkey by hands or try to catch it as they might be bitten.
