Bangkok: Yi Thanakun, president of the Santi Prachadham Club, has disclosed a significant financial connection involving 3 million baht linked to “Film” as part of an ongoing investigation into an investment scam involving Company S. Victims of the scam have filed a lawsuit at Min Buri Criminal Court, compelling Film to testify as a plaintiff’s witness on March 3 at 1:30 p.m.

According to Thai News Agency, Yi Thanakun met with Pol. Maj. Gen. Charoonkiat Pankaew, deputy commander of the Central Investigation Bureau, and provided evidence related to the case. The company in question, identified only as S, is accused of promoting a fraudulent coin investment scheme. The case involves alleged damages of nearly 50 million baht, and victims have taken legal action at the Technology Crime Suppression Division.

Yi Thanakun further detailed the financial transactions under scrutiny, noting three separate transfers of 1 million baht each to Mr. Ratthaphum Tokongsub, also known as Film, throughout 2018. These transactions, highlighted in green as per the evidence, raise questions about Film’s involvement in the scam. The investigators have been urged to explore potential connections between the artist and the company.

The legal proceedings have led to Film being summoned to court to clarify his role and whether he actively encouraged investments in the fraudulent coin scheme. Failure to comply with the court’s summons could potentially escalate to an arrest warrant. The broader investigation encompasses seven main cases, including one involving DJ Man and Bai Toey, as revealed by Mr. Thanakun.

Yi Thanakun emphasized that while Film is not currently a defendant, his testimony is crucial to understanding the full scope of the scam. The authorities are expected to continue issuing summonses as they piece together the financial and testimonial evidence.
