GHB Launches Homestay-Home Lodge Loan Program to Boost Local Tourism


Bangkok: GHB is extending support to small-scale entrepreneurs in the tourism sector through its Homestay-Home Lodge loan program, aimed at enhancing accommodations and increasing tourism revenue within local communities. This initiative, available in 2026, offers a fixed interest rate of 4.25% per annum for the first two years.



According to Thai News Agency, the Government Housing Bank (GHB) is promoting income distribution and economic growth in local communities by supporting small business owners in their sustainable operations. The 2026 Homestay and Home Lodge Entrepreneur Loan Program is designed for individuals who wish to convert their available space into rental accommodations on their residential land for cultural tourism purposes. The program offers loans of up to 3 million baht for various purposes, including purchasing, constructing, expanding, renovating, and repairing accommodations, as well as mortgage refinancing. The interest rate is set at a fixed 4.25% per annum for the initial two years, followed by MRR -1.00% in the third year, and MRR from the fourth year until the loan term ends. For loans aimed at purchasing equipment or amenities, the interest rate is MRR, which is currently 6.195% per annum. The maximum term for these loans is 20 years.
