MCOT Wins Award for Safe and Creative Media, Promoting Media Literacy

Bangkok: The Sure Detective Project x Sure Before Share Club TRICK OR TRUST, Sure Before Share Center, MCOT Public Company Limited, has been honored with the first-place award for safe and creative media in the category of promoting media literacy in 2025. The accolade was presented by the Media Development Fund. Mr. Phatiyuth Jaisawang, Acting Director-General of MCOT Public Company Limited, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to continue being a reliable source of truthful media.

According to Thai News Agency, the award was received by Mr. Phatiyuth Jaisawang and Mr. Peerapol Anutarasothi, Manager of the Sure Before Share Center, Thai News Agency, MCOT, during the Creative Media and TMF Awards 2025 ceremony. The event, held at SPHERE GALLERY 1, M Floor, Emsphere Shopping Mall, recognized outstanding contributions in safe and creative media across 10 categories, with 32 works awarded.

Mr. Phatiyuth expressed his pleasure in receiving the award, highlighting MCOT’s decade-long commitment to producing creati
ve and safe media through the Sure Before Share Center. The center has evolved into the Sure Detective Project, which aims to disseminate factual content nationwide and foster a trustworthy community. MCOT has long been a part of societal media, witnessing the proliferation of fake news, especially online. The organization’s mission is to counter this by promoting factual dissemination and maintaining public trust.

Mr. Peerapol emphasized that the award serves as motivation for MCOT and its team to continue focusing on creating beneficial media and raising societal awareness. Marking the tenth anniversary of Sure Before Share, the organization plans to innovate further and leverage these advancements to enhance public awareness.

The Creative Media and TMF Awards 2025, hosted by the Safe and Creative Media Development Fund, celebrated safe and creative media producers under the theme “SPREAD THE WINGS OF CREATIVITY.” Dr. Thanakorn Srisuksai, Manager of the fund, underscored the importance of recognizing medi
a producers who contribute positively to society. A panel of judges and experts evaluated submissions from various sectors to select the awardees. Dr. Thanakorn lauded the 32 recipients for their efforts in fostering a constructive media environment, benefiting diverse groups within Thai society.

The awards spanned multiple categories, including media for children and youth, the elderly, the disabled, and promoting media literacy. The Sure Detective x Sure Before Share Project, TRICK OR TRUST Club, emerged as the first-place winner in the media literacy promotion category. Other notable winners included projects focusing on soft power promotion, innovation in media, and research for media development, each contributing uniquely to the media landscape.
