Loei: A 34-year-old well-known amulet expert is facing serious allegations after being accused of sexually assaulting a 4-year-old boy, resulting in physical injury to the child. The boy’s mother has taken legal action and provided an audio recording of the expert attempting to negotiate a settlement. The expert has since surrendered to the authorities and is currently facing three grave charges.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Phen (pseudonym), the mother of the victim, has appealed to the media for justice. She filed a police report at Phu Kradueng Police Station following the alleged sexual assault and injury of her 4-year-old son, Nong Or (pseudonym). The accused, a 34-year-old amulet expert who is a relative of the family, allegedly committed the crime on March 21st at his residence.
Ms. Phen recounted the events leading to the incident, explaining that she had taken her son to the amulet expert’s home around 9:00 AM for a playdate. She left her son there while she went to the market for groceries. Upon her return, she found the expert leading her crying son down from the upper floor of the house. Concerned, she inquired about her son’s distress, but he was initially reluctant to speak. Eventually, she coaxed him into revealing that he was experiencing pain and bleeding in the anal area.
The mother immediately took her son to the hospital, where medical examination revealed a laceration near the anus. Determined to seek justice, she filed a police report against the relative. The accused, upon being informed of the legal action, attempted to negotiate, which Ms. Phen declined.
The accused has since surrendered to the police, denying the charges brought against him. Despite his denials, the Loei Provincial Court approved an arrest warrant for his alleged involvement in the incident. During police questioning, the suspect asserted his innocence, claiming that he loved the children as if they were his own and expressing his intention to contest the charges in court.
Initially, the police have charged the suspect with three serious offenses: rape, rape of a child under 15 years of age, and abduction of a minor. The suspect is currently in police custody as the legal proceedings continue to unfold.
