Royal Delegation Monitors Development Projects in Phetchaburi Province

Phetchaburi: The Royal Private Secretary to His Majesty the King, along with the Prime Minister and his delegation, visited Phetchaburi province to monitor the progress of development projects, implementing His Majesty's royal initiatives for the sustainable improvement of the people's quality of life.

According to Thai News Agency, the meeting took place at the Rangsi Phramanakul Conference Room, located at the Air Support Command, Border Patrol Police Headquarters, Naresuan Camp, in Cha-am District. Air Chief Marshal Sathitpong Sukvimol, Royal Secretary to His Majesty the King, and Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, attended the meeting to evaluate the progress of development initiatives in Phetchaburi Province. The meeting was attended by several key government figures, including Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance; Mr. Atthapol Rerkpipibul, Minister of Energy; and Mr. Sakda Wichiansilp, Deputy Minister of Interior, among others.

The delegation received updates on numerous ongoing development projects. Discussions focused on project outcomes and the master plan for the Huai Kapong and Huai Sai Tai areas. Key projects include groundwater initiatives, expansion of electricity coverage to the Huai Yai flood control area, and installation of floating solar power systems. Additionally, landscape improvements and the installation of a water transport and pumping system from the Huai Yai flood control area to Huai Sai Tai were highlighted. These projects are being executed by the Department of Public Works and Town Planning and the Provincial Electricity Authority, with guidance from the royal initiative "Inheriting, Preserving, and Expanding," aiming to enhance public spaces for sustainable community well-being.

The Huai Sai Royal Development Study Center Project is progressing with the construction of an electric pumping station and water distribution system at the Huai Yai-Huai Sai Reservoir. The project aims to improve water storage efficiency in the Huai Yai flood control basin. As of now, construction is 64.45% complete, with the next phase involving the installation of electrical control panels, pumps, and steel pipes, followed by system efficiency and safety testing. Plans for the Huai Sai South Reservoir development project include dredging to increase water storage capacity by 470,000 cubic meters, improving the spillway, and enhancing access roads and landscaping.
