Bangkok: The Thai national football team, alongside notable figures from the sports industry and partner clubs, gathered to celebrate the 60th birthday of Nualphan Lamsam, affectionately known as “Madam Pang,” ahead of their pivotal 2027 Asian Cup match. The event was marked by a warm and joyful atmosphere, as the team prepares for a crucial fixture that will determine their qualification for the final round.
According to Thai News Agency, the Thai national men’s football team, led by coach Anthony Hudson and star player Chanathip Songkrasin, paid a visit to Madam Pang at the Muang Thai-Phatra Complex, where she serves as the President of the Football Association of Thailand and CEO of Muang Thai Insurance. The celebration took place on the 14th floor of the complex, where Madam Pang encouraged the players to secure a victory in their upcoming Group D match against Turkmenistan, scheduled for March 31st at Rajamangala National Stadium.
Madam Pang, who has been a dedicated figure in the sports world for nearly two decades, was also celebrated for her philanthropic efforts. Through the Madame Pang Foundation, she has donated medical equipment valued at over 42.6 million baht to 23 hospitals nationwide. Her extensive career includes managing the Thai national Paralympic team, the Thai women’s national football team, and now the Thai men’s national football team, alongside her role as president of the Football Association of Thailand.
Following the birthday celebration, the Thai national men’s football team engaged in recovery activities at the Novotel Future Park Rangsit hotel. Head coach Anthony Hudson emphasized the importance of player recovery after their recent league matches, with the training session focusing on the use of the swimming pool and lasting for two hours.
As the team gears up for their crucial 2027 Asian Cup Qualifiers match against Turkmenistan, fans are eagerly anticipating the game set for March 31st at 7:30 PM.
