Thief Boldly Steals Motorcycle and Wallet in Nonthaburi, Caught on CCTV

Nonthaburi: A bold thief in Nonthaburi Province stole a motorcycle and a wallet, leaving behind clear evidence captured on CCTV cameras. The audacious theft occurred in the early hours of March 7, prompting a swift police investigation.

According to Thai News Agency, the incident unfolded when a man, dressed in a white shirt, emerged from an alley around 2 a.m. He was seen on CCTV getting onto a grey Yamaha Fin motorcycle, which had been left with the key in the ignition. The motorcycle, bearing Bangkok license plate number 5 Kho 2274, belonged to Mr. Bandit, a 53-year-old resident who had inadvertently left the key in the ignition after his nephew parked it in front of their house.

Mr. Bandit discovered the theft around 6 a.m. when he found the motorcycle missing and reviewed the CCTV footage. The footage revealed the thief casually pretending to make a phone call before riding away with the motorcycle. Mr. Bandit believed the thief to be an outsider, as similar incidents had not occurred in the area before. Further complicating the situation, the thief used the stolen motorcycle to commit another theft, stealing a wallet and phone from a merchant at the Royal Irrigation Department, known by Mr. Bandit.

The second victim, Ms. Latdawan, a 40-year-old fruit vendor, reported that her shop was targeted around 4:20 a.m. She had left her shoulder bag, containing 9,000 baht in cash, a mobile phone, an ATM card, and important documents, unattended. Upon discovering the theft at 5 a.m., she reviewed her security camera footage, which showed the thief parking the stolen motorcycle beside her shop, grabbing her bag, and fleeing the scene.

The thefts have been reported to the Pak Kret Police Station, where authorities are actively working to track down the perpetrator and bring them to justice. The clear CCTV footage is expected to play a crucial role in the ongoing investigation.
