Bangkok: The 1st Army Area Command has opened its area to accommodate and facilitate the public awaiting the royal procession. The initiative is aimed at assisting citizens, youth, students, and university students from various areas throughout Bangkok and its surrounding provinces as they prepare to witness the royal procession of His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen. This event will include royal merit-making ceremonies, such as the ordination of Vietnamese and Chinese monks and the conferment of ecclesiastical titles at the Amarin Winitchai Throne Hall in the Grand Palace. Facilities have been made available in front of the Dusit Palace and the 1st Army Area Command headquarters.
According to Thai News Agency, Lieutenant General Worayot Leuangsuwan, Commander of the 1st Army Area, inspected the arrangements and facilities. He expressed gratitude to all sectors for their support and engaged with the public, students, and participants attending the event. The 1st Army Area and its subordinate units have deployed personnel and resources to ensure order and convenience, including transportation, waiting areas, food and beverage services, and security, allowing everyone to capture memorable moments on this significant day.
The event attracted crowds from communities along the Prem Prachakorn Canal and nearby areas, known for receiving royal patronage through the Prem Prachakorn Canal Development Project. Participants also included 31 Muslim communities from the Saphan Sung district, a historically important area due to its role in the excavation of the "Saen Saep Canal." Youth and students from various institutions, such as the Jaturamitr School Group and Rajamangala University of Technology, also joined in, creating a vibrant atmosphere and continuing the spirit of gratitude for His Majesty's benevolence.
