Bangkok:Anutin Charnvirakul inspected the Bhumjaithai Party's kitchen, where he tasted the fried chicken and ordered it to be extra salty. He emphasized serving generous portions of rice and side dishes to ensure everyone was full. Anutin also took on the role of chef, stir-frying chicken with basil and instructing cooks to add more dark soy sauce. His efforts received praise from villagers.
According to Thai News Agency, Anutin, who is both Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, visited the kitchen after a weekly meeting with MPs. He encouraged kitchen staff to be generous with portions, particularly with sticky rice and fried pork, to ensure everyone was satisfied.
During his visit, Anutin tasted a piece of fried chicken and suggested adding more salt. He also questioned the staff about the portion size, expressing concern that fewer than four pieces of chicken might not be sufficient. Anutin then personally prepared stir-fried chicken with basil, emphasizing the use of dark soy sauce for color, and confirmed that the dish met halal standards.
Members of the public took the opportunity to interact with Anutin, with some taking photos. One family brought their daughter to receive food, prompting Anutin to inquire if one box of rice was sufficient. Ministers and MPs, including Ms. Supamas Isarabhakdi, also participated in preparing meals.
Following his kitchen visit, Anutin addressed the media, mentioning the weekly nature of the party meeting and stating that the case of Ms. Suchada Sangtanasap had not been discussed. He assured that the situation was under control and that there had been no discussions about a no-confidence debate, as no motion had been submitted. MP Chada Thaiseth humorously remarked that there was nothing to address regarding the debate.
