Anutin Charnvirakul Takes Legal Action Over Alleged Fake Payment Slip on Social Media

Bangkok:Anutin Charnvirakul, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, has initiated legal proceedings through his lawyer against the owner of the Facebook page “Godd Dam-Rakchanok” concerning the circulation of a 7 million baht payment slip allegedly linked to “tea money” payments.

According to Thai News Agency, the complaint was filed at Thonglor Police Station by Anutin’s personal lawyer on October 28. The allegations involve Chairat, the 26-year-old owner of the “Godd Dam” Facebook page, and Rakchanok Srinok, a Member of Parliament from the People’s Party. They are accused of sharing a purportedly fake money transfer slip that lists Anutin as the recipient, which is alleged to represent “tea money.”

The case arose after the “Godd Dam” Facebook page published the image of the transfer slip on social media, which Rakchanok then shared, resulting in widespread dissemination. The lawyer’s lawsuit claims defamation by publication and violations of the Computer Crime Act, urging the police to investigate and take necessary legal actions. The individuals involved are presumed innocent until a final court judgment is made.
