Nonthaburi: Anutin Charnvirakul, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, visited the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center to lend support to OTOP entrepreneurs at the "Prateep Thai 2569" event, where sales exceeded 92 million baht on the first day.
According to Thai News Agency, following his return from a mission in Ranong province, Anutin Charnvirakul led a team from the Ministry of Interior to inspect the OTOP (One Tambon One Product) fair for the second day. The event, themed "RADIANCE OF SIAM," saw sales reach 92.5 million baht after just one and a half days, with the official opening scheduled for August 10.
Anutin was joined by key figures such as Mr. Arsit Sampanrat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior; Mr. Pornpoj Penpas, Director-General of the Department of Land; Mr. Siam Sirimongkol, Director-General of the Department of Community Development; and Mrs. Raveeporn Kaewpiengpen, Deputy Governor of Nonthaburi Province. Together, they visited various zones, including stalls of OTOP artists, textile vendors, and luxury handicraft shops, praising the entrepreneurs and engaging with the public.
The fair features more than 2,000 OTOP shops showcasing products from community entrepreneurs across Thailand, alongside products from the Foundation for the Promotion of Arts and Crafts under Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, and shops representing royal projects and partner networks from various ministries.
The "Silpa Cheep Prateep Thai OTOP: Uniting Hearts with Royal Blessings 2026" fair, running from August 8-16, is expected to attract more visitors with its array of activities, including flash sales, lucky draws with grand prizes, and performances by various artists. The event operates from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with the official opening ceremony scheduled for 3:00 PM on August 10, presided over by Anutin Charnvirakul himself.
