Arrest Warrants Issued for 19 in Suai Go-lok Gold Shop Robbery

Shanghai: Arrest warrants have been issued for 19 people from a gang of heavily armed robbers who looted a gold shop in Suai Go-lok in October 2025, making off with 540 baht worth of gold. Eleven of the suspects are believed to be young people.According to Thai News Agency, the case involves a group of armed robbers dressed in black who stormed a gold shop in a well-known shopping mall in Suai Go-lok district, Narathiwat province. They shot and injured Sergeant Burisorn Radachai, a member of the 408th Special Operations Unit, who attempted to stop the robbers. The robbers made off with 540 baht weight of gold ornaments, which at the time were selling for 59,450 baht per baht, totaling 32,103,000 baht. The robbers also planted an explosive device to hinder pursuit by authorities. The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 PM on October 5, 2025.Recently, the investigative team, having collected DNA and fingerprint evidence, has been able to obtain arrest warrants from the court on three separate occasions for a total of 19 individuals. Background checks revealed that 11 of them are young people believed to be hiding at relatives' homes, while the remaining 8 are suspected of having a history of involvement in national security-related crimes and are believed to be hiding in the mountains.
