Bang Kapi:Residents are steadily arriving at the district office to submit documents for flood relief assistance, with the office open daily, including weekends, to accommodate the influx.
According to Thai News Agency, the Bang Kapi District Director has mobilized staff to assist residents. They have also suggested using the online system to ease travel burdens. While some residents are pleased with the streamlined paperwork process, concerns remain about potential difficulties for the elderly. Many hope to receive relief funds promptly.
The district office saw a significant increase in document submissions, particularly in the afternoons, as residents preferred the proximity and perceived faster processing at the office. Mr. Anothai Sathanyothin, a resident from Ladprao 101, Soi 40, shared his experience of severe flooding and the challenges faced in relocating his family due to the flooding that began on September 25th.
Mr. Sathanyothin pointed out that despite the option for online submissions, he believed submitting in person would expedite compensation. However, he noted the two-hour process was cumbersome due to missing documents. He urged authorities to simplify the process further, highlighting the removal of the police report step as a positive change.
He emphasized the need for swift assistance due to extensive damages, including his newly renovated house and car. With ongoing disruptions to water and electricity, he continues to rent temporary accommodations. Mr. Sathanyothin called on government agencies to provide more assistance to those affected by the flooding.
