Cabinet Meeting Anticipates Transfer of Nine Agriculture Ministry Officials

Bangkok: Keep an eye on today's cabinet meeting as nine high-ranking officials in the Ministry of Agriculture are expected to be transferred. Suriya revealed that the Cabinet is about to approve the transfer of 9 senior officials in the Ministry of Agriculture, emphasizing that it is within the authority of the Permanent Secretary to select them based on performance and integrity.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Suriya Jungrungreangkit, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, disclosed that following the Cabinet's recent appointment of Mr. Raphiphat Chantharasriwong as the new Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, a proposal is being submitted today for the appointment and transfer of nine high-ranking officials within the Ministry. The selection criteria will focus on dedication, integrity, and competence, with specific positions to be determined after Cabinet approval.

When questioned about the number of director-general positions among the nine, Mr. Suriya clarified that the proposal includes a total of nine positions, ranging from inspectors to deputy permanent secretaries. He stressed that the authority for these appointments and transfers lies with the permanent secretary and is independent of the minister's influence.
