Bangkok: "Chaiyanok" indicates that a cabinet reshuffle should take one year, emphasizing that all ministers must be evaluated, including those from the 'Luk Thep' (pro-government) group. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chaiyanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society and Secretary-General of the Bhumjaithai Party, addressed the media at Government House regarding rumors of a cabinet reshuffle. He highlighted the need to focus on evaluating all ministers, including the 'prodigy group,' based on their performance and contributions to the nation.
Mr. Chaiyanok stressed that the evaluation of key performance indicators or cabinet reshuffles should extend beyond four to six months, advocating for a one-year assessment period. He noted that the current cabinet has achieved significant results in the past four months, particularly in reforming the energy sector and combating corruption in local government examinations.
Addressing rumors of a potential government coalition deal, Mr. Chaiyanok dismissed these claims, stating that the focus should remain on resolving the country's challenges. He emphasized that if all ministers perform their duties effectively, the cabinet's work will remain unaffected.
Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, has not specified a timeline for the cabinet reshuffle. However, he maintains that all ministers must prove themselves through their performance.
