Bangkok: Channel 9 is set to unveil its second quarter 2026 programming with a special focus on career development and informative entertainment.
According to Thai News Agency, one of the standout programs is "Dream Power, Career Building," airing every Saturday at 10:30 AM and sponsored by the Safe and Creative Media Development Fund. Produced by DC Content Co., Ltd., the show highlights the resilience and determination of individuals with disabilities who transform their challenges into career opportunities.
This Saturday, April 25th, the program will feature the inspiring life story of Mr. Tiang Saephu, a visually impaired carpenter whose skills rival those of sighted craftsmen. Despite facing numerous obstacles, including dropping out of school due to a lack of resources for visually impaired students, Tiang's story is one of perseverance. He chose to pursue carpentry, a field many thought impossible for someone without sight, driven by his desire to support himself and inspired by his father's encouragement.
Tiang Saephu honed his skills at the Srisaman Vocational Training Center for the Blind, where he learned to use his senses of touch and hearing to compensate for his visual impairment. Today, he is a valued member of the production team, crafting a variety of wooden products with precision and care. His colleagues commend his excellent memory and meticulous attention to detail, qualities that have enabled him to overcome the challenges associated with operating machinery.
This episode not only showcases Tiang's unique woodworking techniques but also aligns with the organization's vision of unlocking hidden potential among people with disabilities. It underscores the importance of providing opportunities for individuals to gain dignity, respect, and a meaningful place in society.
