Chonburi: Authorities are rushing to test chemicals found in a Chinese-owned laboratory located in a luxury home in Bang Lamung District. The inspection, led by Chonburi Governor Naris Niramaiwong and Deputy Commander of the Chonburi Provincial Police Pol. Col. Wasurat Chaithirapat, resulted in the seizure of chemical production equipment and a substantial quantity of chemicals. The governor ordered a swift analysis to determine the nature of the substances, with results expected tomorrow.
According to Thai News Agency, if the substances are confirmed to be narcotics, the police plan to dismantle the entire gang involved. Two Chinese nationals arrested at the scene have been charged with working in Thailand without permission, and additional charges may follow based on the chemical analysis results. During questioning, one suspect claimed to be merely a house caretaker and has not implicated others; however, police have gathered significant evidence, including the seizure of a CCTV server, to further their investigation.
