Colonel Phumakhuea Confers Ranks Upon Fighters on Thai-Cambodian Border

Suranaree: "Colonel Phumakhuea" conferred ranks upon soldiers on the battlefield, emphasizing the honor and dignity of soldiers on the Thai-Cambodian border: "The Brave, Self-Sacrificing, Loyal Battalion."

According to Thai News Agency, Lieutenant Colonel Chakrit Khurirang, Commander of the 11th Infantry Battalion (Commander of the 11th Infantry Regiment), Task Force 1, Suranaree Force, presided over the promotion ceremony for personnel serving in the Thai-Cambodian border area. The ceremony was held in the operational area to boost morale and encourage soldiers who are defending the country's sovereignty.

Lieutenant Colonel Chakrit congratulated the promoted personnel, emphasizing that the honor they received stemmed from their "courage, sacrifice, and responsibility towards the nation," and was a source of pride for themselves, their families, and the unit.

The commander of the 11th Infantry Battalion stated that the promotion is not only a personal achievement but also comes with heavier responsibilities, as the unit will continue to maintain security in the area for some time. He also requested that senior personnel mentor and share their experience with younger soldiers, especially those who will be working alongside them in the future.

"We have once been through a combat situation, which was an important experience. We don't know when such an event will happen again. Let's use the lessons and knowledge gained to further strengthen our unit," said Lt. Col. Chakrit.
