Bangkok: Deputy Prime Minister Pakorn Nilapraphan has addressed the Constitutional Court's request for expert opinions on the emergency decree related to a 400 billion baht loan, describing it as a standard procedure.
According to Thai News Agency, the Deputy Prime Minister, who oversees legal affairs, stated that there is no need for further government clarification since all necessary explanations have already been submitted. He highlighted that the court's decision to seek additional insights from 4-5 experts is a common practice in such cases.
Pakorn elaborated that once the court receives these expert opinions, it will convene to determine its subsequent actions. He reiterated the normalcy of this process. In response to inquiries about potential government concerns, Pakorn expressed confidence, noting that the period of apprehension was prior to the issuance of the Emergency Decree. At that time, the government acted with accountability to ensure economic stability amid an uncertain financial climate.
He underscored the importance of trusting the Ministry of Finance in its role of assessing impacts on the country's economic stability. Pakorn conveyed his readiness to address matters as they evolve following changes in the situation.
