Department of Provincial Administration Launches Nationwide Door-to-Door Welfare Card Registration

Bangkok: The Department of Provincial Administration is mobilizing resources to conduct door-to-door visits to assist citizens in registering for welfare cards. Local authorities nationwide are focusing on ensuring that the elderly, disabled, and vulnerable groups receive the necessary services at their homes, eliminating the need for travel.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Narucha Khosasilvilai, Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration, stated that the Ministry of Interior is committed to implementing the government's policy of supporting low-income citizens and vulnerable groups. This initiative involves deploying administrative personnel nationwide, including district officers and local leaders, to visit homes and facilitate the registration process for the "State Welfare Card 2026." The goal is to ensure that over 1 million target citizens are included in the government welfare system.

Citizens are encouraged to verify their names on the eligibility list through the Department of Provincial Administration's online system between June 4th and 21st, 2026. Administrative officials will assist in the process, particularly for those unable to travel, by visiting homes to verify identities and process eligibility.

In Loei province, Mr. Pathom Em-ot, Na Haew district chief, led a team to assist vulnerable groups and educate residents about their rights and benefits. He instructed local leaders to expedite the process, ensuring no eligible citizen misses out on welfare opportunities.

In Ang Thong Province, Wiset Chai Chan District mobilized local officials to verify eligibility for state welfare benefits for over 14,500 people. This effort reduced travel expenses and facilitated direct inquiries through community leaders.

In Yasothon Province, Pa Tiw District officials conducted meetings to raise public awareness and surveyed marginalized groups to ensure access to welfare benefits.

In Prachuap Khiri Khan province, Hua Hin District Chief Mr. Suphachai Krutdam emphasized the need for existing cardholders to re-register and for officials to conduct field surveys for those previously overlooked.

In Lopburi province, Ban Bang Samrong's village headman used online media to promote the process and offered assistance to residents unable to register themselves.

In Nakhon Sawan province, Mr. Ronnakorn Phaovijarn, Mueang Nakhon Sawan District Chief, ensured local leaders understood the registration process and monitored its progress closely.

In Sakon Nakhon province, Mr. Wichan Itthirukmongkol, Mueang Sakon Nakhon District Chief, led efforts to conduct door-to-door visits to ensure equal access to welfare benefits.

The Director-General confirmed the ongoing integration of administrative efforts to provide equal access to state welfare benefits, emphasizing home services for those unable to travel, ensuring no one is left behind.
