Buriram: Deputy Minister of Interior Songsak Thongsri has clarified the Khao Kradong land dispute, confirming that the Land Department has fully complied with the court’s directive and emphasizing that the court did not declare the entire land as belonging to the State Railway of Thailand.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Songsak addressed the parliamentary session, stating that the court has completely revoked the issuance of unlawful title deeds concerning the Khao Kradong case. He assured that the Land Department has adhered to the court orders in all instances and highlighted that the court did not rule that the entire land in question belongs to the State Railway of Thailand. Mr. Songsak insisted that the legal process must follow the established legal provisions, and no unauthorized committee can be formed outside those stipulated by law.
Mr. Songsak further explained that the revocation of land title deeds aligns with Section 61 of the Land Code, which details the procedures to be executed by authorized officials. He reiterated that no other individuals or committees have the authority to act on these matters. The Deputy Minister confirmed that the Land Department’s actions are consistent with court orders in all related cases.
Emphasizing the importance of adhering to the legal process, Mr. Songsak stated that decisions must be based on the specific issues presented to the court by the involved parties, and the court will not rule on matters beyond those requests. Thus, the revocation of title deeds will be a case-by-case process, rather than a blanket decision affecting all the land in question. He urged all parties to rely on legal facts and adhere strictly to the judicial process.
