Rangsit: Police take 8 members of the ‘Rangsit Soup Pouring Gang’ to the court to request a detention order and oppose bail, and collect evidence to issue more summonses and arrest warrants soon. In the case of a senior student physically abusing a junior student by pouring hot soup from a pot over him until he was injured and blisters, and also had his hair shaved and threatened to extort money, yesterday (February 10), Khlong Luang Police Station arrested Mr. Rasipha or Preem, aged 22, and Mr. Chakatphon or Oshi, aged 19, the perpetrators, before expanding the investigation to arrest 6 more people involved in the gang who helped Preem extort money from a victim who used to date Preem. Preem bought her something, but after they broke up, she asked to return it, but the item was already worn out, so she forced him to transfer 6,050 baht back. One of the gang members, ‘Pim Gel,’ who is a rising star, slapped her in the face with a shoe before they went their separate ways.

According to Thai News Agency, the latest developments saw Khlong Luang Police Station taking all 8 suspects, namely Mr. Rasipha or Preem, Mr. Chakatphon or Oshi, Mr. Nopphakhun or Jack, Mr. Donlathee or Paul, Ms. Umbun or Umbun, Ms. Kanyaphat or Pimjel, Ms. Waranya or Bam, and Mr. Phradon or Ice, to the Thanyaburi Provincial Court for the first detention period. While taking the suspects to the car, reporters tried to ask if they felt guilty or wanted to say anything, but they did not answer. Only Phradon denied that he was involved.

The chief of Khlong Luang Police Station revealed that the authorities have pressed charges against Mr. Rasipha or Preem and Chakatphon or Oshi for a total of 4 charges: jointly causing physical harm to another person, resulting in physical or mental harm, jointly committing extortion, jointly detaining and depriving another person of their freedom, and jointly coercing someone to do something by using violence. Preem confessed to all charges. As for the audio clip in which Preem said to choose a glass of water, one glass had cyanide, another glass was toilet cleaner, and the other glass was plain water, Preem’s friends still insist that there was no cyanide in the glass. Preem was only threatening the victim. As for Oshi, she will only accept the charge of physical harm, but she still denies extortion. Yesterday, 6 more accomplices were arrested, and they denied all charges. Initially, the authorities objected to bail because it was a heinous crime, and they committed the crime without fear of the law.

This makes the case at Khlong Luang Police Station now have a total of 8 suspects. Officers have filed charges based on the evidence. All suspects have been charged with different offenses. The 2 main suspects, Mr. Rasipha or Preem and Mr. Chakatphon or Oshi, have been charged with 4 cases. This case is not over yet. Evidence must be collected to issue summonses or arrest warrants for many more people involved, but they cannot be disclosed yet. This includes the case of ‘Prae’ invading the dormitory. Initially, no dormitory owner has filed a complaint. As for other victims who will file complaints at Khlong Luang Police Station, including the case of ‘Kan Jom Phalang,’ they will initially be accepted. However, if it is found that it happened in other areas, they will be sent to the area where the incident occurred.
