Manila:Dr. Kongkrapan Intarajong, Chief Executive Officer and President of PTT Public Company Limited, has been awarded the ASEAN Energy Awards 2026 in the category of ASEAN Excellence in Energy Management by Individual.
According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Kongkrapan received this prestigious award from the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) in recognition of his significant contributions to advancing the energy transition and balancing energy security with sustainability. The award ceremony was held in Manila, Philippines, during the 44th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM).
The award underscores Dr. Kongkrapan's pivotal role in fostering regional energy cooperation within ASEAN and reflects PTT's leadership in ensuring national energy security. This involves addressing the Energy Trilemma, which includes maintaining energy security, affordability and competitiveness for the public and businesses, and sustainability. Moreover, it highlights the promotion of energy cooperation within ASEAN alongside responsible business practices towards society and the environment.
