Dr. Saran Discloses Detailed Timeline of Transition to NBTC Chairmanship

Bangkok: A timeline of events leading up to Dr. Saran's appointment as a member of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) has been released. Dr. Saran Boonbaichaiyapruk clarified the sequence of changes from his role at Ramathibodi Hospital to his current position as Chairman of the NBTC. He emphasized that each stage of the transition can be verified through official documents, affirming the legitimacy of the process.

According to Thai News Agency, the timeline is divided into three distinct phases. In Phase 1, prior to January 8, 2022, Dr. Saran continued his duties at Ramathibodi Hospital, fulfilling his responsibilities as an employee, while awaiting the formal appointment process as Chairman of the NBTC.

Phase 2, spanning from January 8 to April 12, 2022, saw Dr. Saran submitting his resignation from Ramathibodi Hospital to comply with legal requirements. During this period, he continued to care for patients under pre-scheduled appointments as a part-time physician, ensuring continuity of care without receiving a regular salary from the hospital.

In Phase 3, commencing April 13, 2022, Dr. Saran fully assumed his role as Chairman of the NBTC following his appointment by royal decree. Despite this transition, he continues to serve as a volunteer doctor, without compensation from Ramathibodi Hospital, demonstrating his commitment to public service.

Dr. Saran disclosed this timeline to provide transparency and clarity regarding his transition, assuring that all changes in his professional duties were legally compliant and in chronological order.
