Bangkok: Mr. Ittiporn Boonprakong, Chairman of the Election Commission, presided over the inauguration of the 15th Advanced Political and Election Development Training Course (PTS 15). The opening ceremony took place at the Centara Life Hotel, Government Complex and Convention Center, Chaeng Watthana Road, and included a report by Mr. Saeng Boonmee, Secretary-General of the Election Commission. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Ittiporn emphasized that the training is designed to enhance participants' knowledge and understanding of promoting political engagement under Thailand's democratic regime, where the King serves as Head of State. He expressed hope that participants would acquire valuable insights and apply them in practice. The PTS 15 training course includes 145 participants from various sectors such as political parties, senior government officials, state enterprises, independent organizations, media, academia, private sector executives, and local administrative leaders. The course is scheduled to run for a duration of 9 months.
