Col. Jeffrey Saimanagul, Superintendent of Pattani City Police Station, received a report from a gas station employee about a suspicious object found in the restroom. He immediately dispatched police officers and an EOD team to investigate. Upon arrival, an object resembling an explosive device was discovered. Authorities secured the area, and officers in bomb suits conducted an initial inspection.At 9:00 AM, an explosion occurred in the restroom, causing panic among those nearby and injuring one EOD officer. The officer sustained serious wounds to his right hand and was transported to Pattani Hospital. The investigation revealed that a cleaning lady noticed s omething unusual, prompting a search. The explosion was triggered when officers lifted the child's toilet seat.Forensic officers are collecting evidence, including CCTV footage and witness statements, to identify the perpetrators.
