Surat thani: "Kevin," a French national and owner of Samui Exotic Park on Koh Samui, is currently being held pending deportation. His wife, Ms. Jindarat Satyaphan, denies allegations of them fleeing and insists that her husband has not disappeared. The recent developments in the transnational conflict on the island have led to Kevin's detention, where he is accused of actions deemed as a serious threat to society by immigration officials.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Kevin DiMino, accompanied by his wife, presented himself to Pol. Col. Naruwat Phutthaviro, Superintendent of the Surat Thani Immigration Office, and Mr. Chare Tungkaew, Deputy District Chief of Koh Samui. The deportation order against Mr. DiMino was read aloud, citing multiple incidents, including harassment and verbal abuse of a local language school owner and teachers, physical assault on a Turkish national, and threatening behavior towards a fellow passenger on a domestic flight. The order also mentioned his disrespectful conduct and incitement of divisive actions based on race, religion, and politics.
Authorities detained Mr. Kevin at the Koh Samui Police Station and placed him in a separate quarantine location to avoid potential conflict with Mr. Yakov, an Israeli national involved in the incidents. Ms. Jindarat expressed her confusion over the charges, asserting that they were victims and that Kevin was merely defending himself. She recounted that her husband's actions, including shouting insults at Samui Exotic Park on August 29, 2026, were in response to threats of business closure, which led to the charges of harassment against them.
