Bangkok:The government is urging participants in the "Thai Helps Thai Plus 60/40" project to confirm their eligibility by October 15th.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Lalida Periswiwatana, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, reported that as of October 5, 2026, 25,481,215 individuals had joined the initiative, constituting 83.0% of the total eligible population of 30,709,378. Additionally, 940,544 shops had registered, covering 78.9% of the 1,191,936 eligible shops.
The government highlights that eligible citizens who cannot confirm participation via the "Paotang" app have the option to receive assistance at Krung Thai Bank branches nationwide. This includes help with installing and registering the "Paotang" app and setting up the government's electronic wallet (G-Wallet), ensuring broad access to participation rights.
Registration for individuals is available through the "Paotang" app from October 1st to 15th, 2026, while businesses can register via the "Thung Ngern" app until November 30th, 2026. The project is not currently open to new merchant registrations.
Participants will receive government subsidies at a rate of 60%, capped at 200 baht per person per day and a maximum of 1,000 baht per person for the program duration from October 1st to November 30th, 2026. These subsidies apply to purchases of food, beverages, specified goods, and services from participating stores between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM, and for food or beverage orders through participating delivery services between 6:00 AM and 9:00 PM.
The government continues to encourage those who have not yet confirmed their participation to do so by the deadline, especially if they require assistance, to ensure they do not miss out on the benefits of the initiative.
