Khuan Khanun:Gunmen attacked the home of a 28-year-old man in Khuan Khanun district, Phatthalung province, firing more than 20 shots and causing damage to the house and a parked car. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
According to Thai News Agency, police suspect the attack may be linked to a drug gang, as the homeowner's son has a history of multiple arrests related to drug trafficking. The police from Khuan Khanun Police Station, along with forensic investigators, examined the scene in Moo 2, Tonod Duan Subdistrict, finding bullet holes in the house, doors, and windows.
The incident occurred around 3 AM when the homeowner and their six children were asleep. They were startled awake by the gunfire and immediately notified the authorities. Mr. Sangsan, the homeowner's son, reported hearing a motorcycle pass by after the gunshots but did not recognize the rider or understand the motive behind the attack.
Police are actively questioning individuals, examining evidence, and interviewing witnesses to gather information and track down the perpetrators. Initial investigations suggest the shooting may have stemmed from a dispute involving the homeowner's son and a drug-related group, possibly over unpaid bills or previous altercations. The investigation is ongoing.
