Hatyai: The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in collaboration with Hat Yai Municipality, the Thai-Chinese Association of Songkhla Province, and local partners, is set to host the 'Amazing Thailand Chinese New Year 2026 @ HATYAI' festival. Scheduled from February 17-20, 2026, at Sanehanusorn Road and Thammanoonvithi Road in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, the festival will celebrate Chinese art and culture in a modern and international format under the theme 'Glory of HATYAI.' The event will include lion and dragon dances, a fireworks display, continuous performances by leading artists, and over 100 food and lifestyle shops. The festival is expected to attract over 50,000 Thai and international tourists.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Jirawat Maneechot, Deputy Governor of Songkhla Province, emphasized Hat Yai's role as a key economic hub in Thailand, equipped with essential facilities such as an international airport, standard hotels, diverse tourist attractions, and a blend of art, culture, and lifestyle. The multicultural metropolis is home to Thai, Chinese, and Muslim communities, who live harmoniously, showcasing their cultures through architecture and cuisine. The event aims to promote Hat Yai's tourism image worldwide, contributing to the district's tourism industry's recovery.
The 'Amazing Thailand Chinese New Year 2026 @ HATYAI' event will feature continuous entertainment and performances from renowned artists over the four-day festival. The schedule includes performances by The Parkinson and Indigo on February 17th, Serious Bacon and Mirrr on February 18th, Getsunova and Whal and Dolph on February 19th, and Gavin D and Zom Marie on February 20th. Attendees will also enjoy cultural performances, dance and acrobatics from Fujian Province, China, Chinese New Year light displays, and DIY workshops.
