Hull Wins Third LGPA Title on Dramatic Final Hole

Cincinnati: Englands Charley Hull clinched her third LGPA Tour title by overtaking world number one Jeeno Thitikul on the final hole of the Queen City Championship. Hull entered the par-five 18th hole trailing by one shot, but Thailands Thitikul's four-putt led to a bogey, setting the stage for Hull’s victory.

According to BBC, Hull had a two-foot putt for birdie, which she successfully converted, marking her first LPGA Tour win since 2022. Both Hull and Thitikul had reached the final green in just two shots, with Thitikul positioning her first putt within six feet of the cup. Hull missed her eagle opportunity, while Thitikul's birdie and par attempts both slid past the hole, allowing Hull to seize victory on 20 under overall and earn the $300,000 (£221,340) prize.

Each golfer carded a four-under 68 in the final round, with Hull maintaining the one-stroke advantage she held after day three. Having finished as runner-up in her previous two tournaments, the 29-year-old Hull had a two-stroke lead over Thitikul at the turn at TPC Rivers Bend on Sunday. Thitikul closed the gap to one on the 10th hole, and both players birdied the 11th. However, Hull's bogey on the 13th allowed Thitikul to take the lead with a birdie on the subsequent hole.

Hull managed to respond with a birdie on the 16th, but another bogey on the 17th handed the advantage back to Thitikul, which she ultimately lost on the last hole. Meanwhile, 21-year-old Woad shot her best round of the week, a six-under 66, to finish 18 under overall.
