Vientiane: Lao female influencers have joined forces to release a Northeastern Thai folk song titled "Just Your Like," seeking encouragement from the online world and bridging the charm of Lao culture to contemporary music.
According to Thai News Agency, this special collaboration features three popular Lao online influencers: Jenny Story, Nuchsy, a Lao girl studying in Thailand, and Faifun Channel. These influencers, hailing from various provinces and cities in Laos, bring their friendship, dreams, and natural charm to the new folk song, "Just Your Like."
With sincere, cheerful, and charming personalities typical of Laotian girls, the trio has consistently received support and encouragement from fans on social media. This support has fostered a growing friendship among them, much like that of friends and sisters who support each other.
Most recently, the girl group Sao Sao Sao has made a significant stride with their song "Kae Ai Kod Like" (Just a Like from You), an Isaan folk song characterized by an easy-to-listen melody, sincere lyrics, and a perspective on love in the digital age. It highlights how a simple "like" can provide encouragement to someone on a day when they are tired, weak, or disappointed in love.
The song conveys a warm feeling through the writing of Prasert Yodsanga, with vocals overseen and directed by Jeans Silalang. This allows the three girls to naturally showcase their charm, voices, and personalities. "Just a Like from You" is not just a song of smiles and hope but also represents the positive encouragement that Jenny, Nuchsy, and Faifan aim to send to all their fans.
Furthermore, the music video illustrates the simple real-life stories of young women striving to build better lives, while showcasing the beauty of traditional Lao clothing. This includes the sash draped across the shoulder, the sarong, and the unique patterns of the hem of the sarong, all set against a backdrop of lush green rice fields and a warm, beautiful evening atmosphere.
