Large Rally in Germany Supports Iranian Prince’s Asylum

Munich: Approximately 250,000 protesters gathered peacefully in Germany to demand an end to the current Iranian government and to show support for the exiled Iranian prince who also joined the demonstration. The rally took place at the Theresien Wieser Square in Munich, Germany yesterday. Many people traveled from across Europe, and participants waved pre-Revolution Iranian flags and images of Reza Pahlavi, Iran's last crown prince who is now in exile in the United States after the Islamic Revolution.

According to Thai News Agency, the demonstrators called for an end to the current Iranian government and cheered when the 65-year-old Pahlavi took the stage and addressed the crowd from behind a bulletproof shield. Senator Lindsey Graham, a Republican from the United States, also used the event to speak against Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran's Supreme Leader.
