Bangkok: Mallika Jiraphanwanich, Deputy Minister of Transport, has directed the Transport Company Limited (BKS) to advance with the Quick Win program, introducing a "Go First, Return Later" promotion that offers a 20% discount on ticket prices and complimentary vehicle inspections. This initiative aims to enhance convenience and safety for travelers during the 2026 New Year festival.
According to Thai News Agency, the Quick Win policy, spearheaded by Ms. Mallika, seeks to improve public transportation services by ensuring convenience, speed, and safety. The policy will integrate various feeder services, including wheel, rail, boat, and air transport, to provide seamless connections. This integration is expected to boost public confidence in transportation and facilitate smoother travel during the 2026 New Year's holiday.
The Quick Win policy comprises three key components:
1. The "Go First - Return Later" promotion is set to run during the 2026 New Year Festival, offering a 20% discount on ticket prices for Transport Company Limited customers who book tickets online. This includes bookings made via the E-Ticket application, the company's website, and social booking channels such as Facebook and Line. The promotion covers travel before the New Year Festival from December 22 to 25, 2025, with ticket bookings available until November 30, 2025. Return trips are scheduled for January 6 to 8, 2026, with booking windows from December 1 to 15, 2025. However, tickets under this promotion are non-refundable and non-changeable.
2. The Transport Company (BKS) is tasked with ensuring safe and punctual travel by supervising and adhering to safety measures across buses, passenger terminals, and employees. This includes inspecting buses for readiness and preparing drivers for their duties, all aimed at elevating Thailand's public transport system to meet safety, convenience, and accessibility standards.
3. A "Free Car Inspection, Safe Driving" service will be available from December 1 to 31, 2025, at the Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection Center in Rangsit. The service includes a free 20-item inspection for cars and motorcycles, covering essential components like brake systems, tire condition, and signal lights, to ensure vehicle safety during the 2026 New Year festival.
The Ministry of Transport emphasizes the importance of safety and has instructed BKS to implement all necessary measures to ensure smooth and safe travel during the 2026 New Year's holiday. This initiative also aims to prevent road accidents and build user confidence in public transport.
